CEO of Solvability, Jenny Clark focuses on DCAA Compliance training and consulting for small businesses in the aerospace and defense industry. She has over 30 years of experience working with clients for accounting, cost accounting and government contracting. Since its founding in 1997, Solvability has supported accounting software selection, implementation and training for DCAA Compliant QuickBooks, Unanet Project Tracking software, Deltek Costpoint, Deltek First Essentials, Jamis and Pleasant Valley Business Solutions (PVBS).
Transitioning from a consulting practice, Solvability is creating a training platform to support both online training and offline events. The online training includes webinars on government contracting, LinkedIn training and leadership topics. The offline training is primarily DCAA Compliant QuickBooks Boot Camps, offered monthly in a 2-day live format in Tampa, Florida from March to October.
Throughout her career, Jenny has been an active networker, event organizer and speaker. She created her own conference series, Rocket City GovCon Conference in 1998 which continued through 2014 as the premier networking event for federal contracting professionals in Huntsville, AL, attracting participants from all over the Southeast. Jenny will soon introduce the I-4 GovCon Summit to continue this tradition. She is a sought-after speaker on topics related to government contracting, indirect rates, cost accounting, networking and LinkedIn marketing to a variety of groups including Deltek Insight Users Conference, Unanet Users Conference, The Knowledge Congress, and the Tampa Bay Financial Executives Networking Group (FENG).
Jenny’s personal mission is small business entrepreneurship, which is essential to economic growth in the United States, and is the leading driver of employment and opportunity. Finding ways to help small business entrepreneurs connect, collaborate and innovate is Solvability’s vision. Jenny spends her free time developing new skills in this area, by listening to podcasts, participating in mastermind groups, reading and listening to books on innovation and entrepreneurship, and posting articles online through LinkedIn. Jenny is also working with veterans who are searching for their post-military careers, as an Advisory Board member of the 501(c)3 organization “Project Transition USA”. She serves as a mentor for the University of South Florida’s Veteran Mentorship program.
Jenny is the Small Business Chair for AFCEA Tampa (Pelican Chapter of Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association), and a member of Greater Tampa Bay Women in Defense (WID), Military Council of the Greater Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, Florida Defense Contractors Association (FDCA), Florida 8A Alliance,Tampa National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), Suncoast Chapter of National Contract Management Association (NCMA), Tampa Bay Organization of Women in International Trade, Indo-US Chamber of Commerce, and the Business Transition Council of Tampa Bay. Jenny earned Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Agnes Scott College. She has a Masters Degree in International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina. As CIO of Solvability, Pete Blum focuses on training and technology solutions for small businesses. He has 20 years of experience in the Information Technology industry as an enterprise applications administrator, release manager, trainer, and project manager. His experience includes installation, management, maintenance, monitoring, and training for distributed applications such as Microsoft SharePoint, Office 365, BizTalk, and SCOM; IBM Lotus Notes and Domino, WebSphere, and MQSeries; Cold Fusion and others.
Joining Solvability in early 2015 with a mission of propelling the company’s online training platform forward with the addition of LinkedIn training, Office 365 training, and more. Providing value to small businesses is important to us. After serving eleven honorable years in the military providing logistics, management, and IT support Pete transitioned from being a United States Marine to an Information Technology Professional and Leader. He believes in helping people and businesses in America grow and succeed leveraging his leadership, training, mentoring, and information technology experience. He is a LinkedIn professional networker and can provide training on LinkedIn, Leadership, Job Searching, and Resumes.
As a veteran Pete is interested in assisting transitioning military personnel on their journey to find civilian jobs and has assisted “Project Transition USA” as well as being a mentor for Stand Beside Them and ACP AdvisorNet.
